Cloud Description

Systems and Hardware experts are the backbone of any successful cybersecurity plan. Almost all security breaches must navigate the nuances of a particular system or hardware to become effective. This TalentCloud is seeking cyber experts who can work to protect, prevent, contain and repair cyberthreats and incidents from all perspectives and sectors. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop strong security systems through the use of ciphers and algorithms
  • Analyze and decrypt details within encrypted data and ciphertexts, as well as threat actors
  • Monitor networks, devices, and systems for vulnerabilities and potential security concerns
  • Investigate and resolve incidents and breaches
  • Install device, system, infrastructure, and software protections
  • Document and provide damage assessments for any security breaches
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to determine vulnerabilities through performance testing
  • Establish highly advanced standards in security practices and policies
  • Remain current on cybersecurity and security news, trends, and best practices
  • Create IT security standards for the entire organization
  • Implement advanced encryption solutions
  • Design secure programming techniques and systems, including encrypted data storage, processing, and communications
  • Review existing security practices, provide recommendations and implement necessary enhancements
  • Develop and manage system security upgrades and timelines 
  • Train various teams in encryption techniques when appropriate

Preferred Education 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Related Field

Required Skills 

  • Firm understanding of penetration testing and methodologies
  • Capable of using proxies, SIEM, antivirus, firewalls, IDPS, and additional security concepts
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and within a budget
  • Knowledgeable of IT security systems, hardware, software, and solutions
  • Years of source code experience with various languages is imperative, such as C, C++, Python, Ruby, PHP, .NET, Java, Perl, and others
  • Use of various operating systems, such as UNIX/Linux and Windows, will be necessary
  • Analytical and organizational skills are essential
  • Team player and independently motivated when appropriate
  • Possess top communication skills, both written and verbal 

Preferred Skills

  • Complete specialized certifications in relevant fields, such as digital forensics, encryption, and more
  • Experience with patch management is beneficial
