Web Security and Protection experts entail a variety of specializations and components designed to protect web applications, services, websites, and infrastructure from cyberattacks. The TalentCloud members must be able to focus on standardizations, checkpoints, encryption, authentication, patching, and more to secure vulnerabilities and prevent data theft.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain software and website applications
- Use appropriate languages and scripting
- Develop, implement and utilize content creation tools and criteria, management tools, digital media, and more
- Perform or supervise website updates
- Resolve issues swiftly, establish prioritization protocols and make improvements
- Create and validate testing regularly on browsers, external interfaces, and all device types
- Stay current on the latest programming practices and web applications
- Backup websites in a segmented manner for recovery
- Identify and correct issues discovered from testing and customer feedback
- Establish user needs through technical requirement analyzation
- Review code regularly to verify structure and validity and to meet changing industry standards
- Create threat models, architecture reviews, and countermeasures based on pen testing
- Collaborate with various teams throughout the organization to solidify continuity of culture and standards, including product and service development, quality assurance, and others
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Web Development or Related Field
- Equivalent Work Experience
Required Skills
- Proficiency in languages, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, SQL, or others
- Possess experience in programming web applications
- Be a team player and solid written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
- Develop new solutions, processes and procedures, and ideas
- Work independently in an organized manner under time constraints whilst multitasking
- Problem-solving skills in a complex work environment
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of threat modeling and security tools, such as Samurai Web Testing Framework, QualysGuard, IBM AppScan, Metasploit, HP Fortify, and others
- Software testing experience
- Solid business acumen is desired
- Technical writing capability is helpful
